What It Is

The AI Clinic is a service for Bocconi faculty, researchers and PhD students. Typical requests:

  • turning unstructured sources (text, images, audio, documents) into data;
  • choosing between an API model, an open-weight model and a fine-tuned small model;
  • scraping, classification, text and sentiment analysis;
  • running models on Bocconi's computing cluster, including with restricted data;
  • using AI to support research design or theory development.

The clinic is not a substitute for a research assistant or for supervision. It helps you find the right approach and the right resources, and points you to guides and training. Where a project opens a new research avenue, the clinic can suggest applying to the Projects Incubator.

What we learn from clinic requests shapes the lab's guides and workshops, so the most common needs are answered for everyone.
